Councillor Amy Kennedy

Amy represents Preston Park ward, and is the Green Group Deputy Convenor with responsibility for External Relations.

She sits on the Culture, Tourism & Enterprise Overview & Scrutiny Committee; the Community Safety Forum; and the Planning Committee.  Her campaigning work includes successfully calling for the prosecution of developers who felled protected trees in the ward, and working to improve sustainability measures at the city's events.

With a background in the construction & design industry, Amy is the local Green Party spokesperson on Planning & the Built Environment, and is a Trustee of the Phoenix Arts Association, the largest artist-led arts organisation in the South East of England. 

Amy is a first-class English & Critical Theory graduate (Sussex 1996), and a former student of Architecture.  Politics aside, her passions include music, food, art, poetry, the built environment, and nature.
