The youngest councillor on Brighton & Hove City Council at 24, Alex is an experienced campaigner, with a keen interest in equalities, trade and peace issues.
Alex was elected to the city council in a by-election in Goldsmid ward in July 2009, winning a seat from the Conservatives.
She has a degree in French Studies from the University of London Institute in Paris, and has worked for health and legal businesses, an international human rights charity, and in the European Parliament.
Alex has also served as Brighton & Hove Green Party’s co-ordinator for elections and was employed in the successful campaign to elect Caroline Lucas as the UK's first Green MP in Brighton Pavilion.
In charitable work, Alex is a trustee of Latitude Safe Space, a charity providing safe accommodation for homeless women in the city.
