Why offer blogs here?

We want to give some of our new councillors, especially those who hold backbench (i.e. not front facing leader roles), a direct, two-way voter conversation and voice.

Also we want to make it easy for local people who are interested in the Green Party to find out more about us and to offer their thoughts on how to deal with some of the big issues facing all of us here in our city, nationally and globally. 

As a pilot project we've asked two councillors, one from Brighton and one from Hove, to start blogging about the challenges of their work.

Hopefully it will shed some light on their views about local and world happenings and may be a bit about what makes them tick...

Priority will be given to those backbench councillors who don't yet have a mainstream blog.

All constructive blog posts will be posted but we moderate comments under the terms of our comments policy.
