UK's first Green-led council budget

Welcome to the information pages for the 2012-14 draft city budget proposals from the UK's first Green-led council, Brighton & Hove City Council.

This is a draft budget only and is an important stage in the consultation the council is undertaking to deal with the Coalition government cuts.

Following extensive listening, the Green adminstration made several revisions to the original draft budget proposals.

These are outlined in the final statement issued on 1 February 2012.
